Emily has always had a strong interest in health and understanding the human body. This, coupled with a desire to help people, resulted in her studying nursing. I completed my nursing degree in 2005 and when she went on to work in an acute care hospital, she noticed that despite access to good medical care, her patients continued to return to the hospital sicker and sicker. Clearly, we were missing something!
This prompted her to look elsewhere for a more holistic, natural approach to health care that addresses the underlying cause of disease and takes into account the whole person, leading her to study naturopathy.
Having a firm foundation in both the traditional medical model and natural medicine gives Emily a unique understanding of health and disease and she knows just how important it is to uncover and address the root cause of your disease rather than just putting bandaids on symptoms.
Alongside her nursing and naturopathy qualifications, Emily is also a Reiki and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) practitioner and has a particular interest in the role the mind plays in health and disease. Emily has experienced first-hand how changing your thoughts and emotions can profoundly improve your physical and mental health and she loves helping people discover this for themselves.

Naturopathy is based on the premise that the body has it’s own innate ability to heal itself if given the right environment to do so. As a naturopath it is our job to support you and your body to create an environment where healing can take place.
The best and most simple way of explaining kinesiology is that it uses a muscle test to assess different aspects of the body, whether it is the physical functioning of organs and glands or the emotional and mental wellbeing of you, the client.
I may use integrative testing, if indicated, to help determine the driver of the disease in each individual case. Testing may range from Cytokine panel testing, full nutritional testing, Hormonal panels or food allergy testing just to name a few.
Are You A New Patient?
We Help You Build Healthy Habits & Realistic Routines
Health is a journey, not a destination! As such you are going to need support to help make changes last long term and fit in with your lifestyle. Any suggestion we make to you, we have done it ourselves! That is our motto; if we can’t do it ourselves we would never ask a client to do it! So you can rest assured we have gone first in implementing life long strategies to improve dietary and lifestyle choices. We work as a team to implement the changes that are going to be the easiest and make the greatest difference to your health. Once we have those in, we slowly work together to make any other necessary lifestyle modifications. You will feel supported and understood along the entire journey we take together.
Coaching & Supervision
For the newly graduated naturopath wanting to get started in a clinic or wanting help with a particularly difficult case, Fiona provides clinical supervision and business coaching to help you get on your feet and feel confident in clinical practice.
Personal Genetic Profiling
We now know that there is an interaction between our genes and our diets, lifestyle choices, environment and nutritional status. It is a common misconception is that our “inherited genes” determine our fate in life. In fact, research has shown that this is not necessarily so. You can compensate for your genes influences if you know what genes are influencing your health.
